Background
- The Trafalgar Family Health Center was founded in 1996 with assistance from Johnson Memorial Hospital and the Indiana State Department of Health. Its goal was to serve as an access point for medical care for the people of Southern Johnson County.
- The Edinburgh Family Health Center was added in 2002 to serve as a second access point for the economically depressed area surrounding the town of Edinburgh.
- In December of 2003, the Health Centers were awarded a 330 Grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care and officially became a Federally Qualified Health Center, serving the additional four counties of Morgan, Shelby, Bartholomew, and Brown.
